Sign up for a volunteer position at PWX! Volunteers who sign up for multi, full, or half day shifts can attend a portion of the conference!

APWA needs volunteers to assist with a myriad of easy tasks. (Don't worry! Our online volunteer questionnaire will give you an opportunity to indicate what would be a good fit for you for both abilities and time slot.) With the other half of your day or another half day of your choice, you can do what you like at PWX! Please note that you do NOT need to be an APWA member to volunteer.  

Here are some tantalizing details about PWX, so you can plan your complimentary half-day admission:

§ Exhibit Hall is open Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

§ Educational Sessions take place Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and the first half of Wednesday. 

§ Equipment ROADeo is Monday.

Volunteering FAQ's

• Complimentary 1/2 day conference admission is for volunteers that volunteer for a minimum of 4 hours. Other shorter shifts are available.
• Volunteers are needed on Friday, August 25 prior to the conference starting but you can use your complimentary half-day admission for another day of your choice.
• Each individual volunteer must sign up separately.
• Volunteers must be located in the State of California but do not need to be APWA members.
• We expect at least 5,000 attendees, 400 exhibitors, and hundreds of volunteers to help make this conference a success.
• Some areas that will need volunteers include: Exhibit Hall Greeters, Education Sessions, Support Social Events & Tours, Hotel Welcome Table, General Sessions support, Awards Ceremony, Speaker Check-in, Book Store Set-up & Tear-down, etc.
