Introduction to ENVISION and the Joint ASCE/APWA/ACEC San Diego Sustainability Committee
This speech will cover the following topics:
1) Introduction to the local committee’s mission, goals, and outreach opportunities,
2) Introduction to Sustainability,
3) Introduction to Sustainability Rating Systems, and
4) Introduction to the ENVISIONTM Sustainable Infrastructure Rating System.

Mr. Jones is a Registered Civil Engineer, CASQA Certified Qualified Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan Developer, and Sustainable Professional and ENVISIONTM Verifier certified by the Institute of Sustainable Infrastructure with over eleven years of experience in municipal engineering, general site-civil engineering, water/wastewater engineering, water quality and quantity studies, and sustainable engineering practices. His engineering work has included developing planning level documents for a variety of capital improvement projects (e.g. preliminary design reports) through design and construction document preparation, cost estimation and construction administration services. He has experience in planning, designing, and construction inspection of stormwater BMPs. He has worked on development of plans and specifications for street improvement plans and park and recreation facilities for municipal clients. He has also worked on designs of water and wastewater systems including drinking water wells, pipelines, pump stations, and some elements of treatment plants for various public agencies. He has assisted in due diligence reporting for water resources sections of federal environmental assessments (e.g. National Environmental Quality Act compliance) and California Environmental Quality Act documents.

Mr. Pollard is a Registered Civil Engineer and Sustainable Professional certified by the Institute of Sustainable Infrastructure with over fifteen years of experience in site-civil engineering, water/wastewater engineering, and sustainable engineering practices. He has acted as project manager on numerous capital improvement projects throughout southern California.
