Speakers: Kelly Cunningham, Economist, National University System Institute for Policy Research ...is Senior Fellow and Economist for National University System Institute for Policy Research (NUSIPR), a think tank founded by Steve Francis in 2006, and became part of the National University System in 2009. Randy Ataide, Executive Director, Fermanian Business & Economic Center, Professor of Entrepreneurship PLNU ...named one of "San Diego's Top Influentials" for 2010 by the SD Daily Transcript. He holds a BA degree in Speech Communications, Masters in Theology, a JD, and is a member of the CA State Bar Assn. He completed the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Management Program and attended the Harvard Business School's Owner-President Management Program. Marney Cox, Chief Economist, SANDAG ...specializes in regional economies, including the areas of economic development, municipal finance, and transportation infrastructure financing. He produced the San Diego Regional Economic Prosperity Strategy; the Regional Transportation Plan’s Environmental Mitigation Program funding strategy; the Regional Transportation Congestion Improvement Program; the acquisition of the South Bay Expressway Toll Road, and is currently working on developing a financing strategy to pay for the construction and operation of a third major border crossing with Mexico. Mr Cox holds a BS and MS in Economics from SDSU.
